#BookReview: All Those Lies (DI Tracy Collier Book 1), Emmy Ellis

Title and Author: All Those Lies (DI Tracy Collier Book 1) by Emmy Ellis
Genre: Hard-boiled Mystery
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Source: Amazon

Detective Inspector Tracy Collier has dreadful memories of her younger self, locked away in the recesses of her mind. She has blocked it out, to transform herself into a successful and confident hardcore DI, as a result.

The latest callout, a body hanging from rafters in a barn, gutted and innards on display. The modus operandi, similar to a discovery of the previous week, setting the scene of a serial killer at work.

The detail of a very well written plot in “All Those Lies”, by author Emmy Ellis, pulls the reader into a tale of gruesome murders, intrigue and heartbreak. It is a Hard-boiled Mystery in which DI Tracy Collier is compelled to face, and slay the demons of her childhood. Lies forced in her past will now follow Tracy into her future, but at least she doesn’t have to constantly wonder, live in fear, and look over her shoulder anymore.

Brilliantly written, I really enjoyed reading “All Those Lies” by Emmy Ellis, and highly recommend this book. I have just acquainted myself with DI Bethany Smith, another Series by Emmy Ellis, and is positively hooked on this author.

Do check out Emmy’s profile on Amazon and Goodreads for more of her fabulous work.

“All Those Lies” receives a 5 Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rating from BookCRITICO!

What is on your weekend reading list?

What are you reading this weekend? Being a Crime Fiction and sub-genre fanatic, I opted for a Thriller, which I already started reading during the week. A Reason To Kill is the first book in the DI Matt Barnes Thriller Series, by author Michael Kerr. It is the first time that I read Michael Kerr, and I must say, I’m really enjoying the book so far. I got acquainted with Michael Kerr on the UK Crime Book Club Facebook Page, which I am a member of, and thought I will give his work a try.

Michael Kerr is a well-published author and his books are available on Amazon, you can also interact with him on Goodreads.

We’re mid-winter in my part of the world, so it is a fabulous time to snuggle up with a great read, and a cup-a-joe, hot-choc or nice glass of red on the side ☕️🍷📚! Have a fab weekend! Bookish greetings!
